Tension Bands are essential components in chain-link fences, used to attach the fabric to the terminal posts. Unlike the beveled version, these bands have a flat surface, providing a secure connection and adding strength to the fence. Manufactured from durable materials like galvanized steel, Tension Bands resist rust and weathering, ensuring long-lasting performance. They come in different sizes and are easy to install, making them a staple in chain-link fence construction.
This 2″ long galvanized steel tension band attaches chain link fabric to posts, frames, kennels, and more so that there is a strong and stable connection between the chain link mesh, tension bar, and post or frame. Generally, one tension band should be used for every one foot of overall fence height (i.e. a 6′ high fence requires 5 tension bands). This tension band is easy to install and has a strong, anti-corrosion galvanized steel construction with a 14 gauge thickness suitable for residential applications. It fits 2″ posts, and requires 5/16″ x 1 1/4″ carriage bolts and nuts. Specifications include a band height of 3/4″, a post size of 2″ (1 7/8″ OD), and a thickness of 0.078″ (14 gauge).
