Tension Bands are essential components in chain-link fences, used to attach the fabric to the terminal posts. Unlike the beveled version, these bands have a flat surface, providing a secure connection and adding strength to the fence. Manufactured from durable materials like galvanized steel, Tension Bands resist rust and weathering, ensuring long-lasting performance. They come in different sizes and are easy to install, making them a staple in chain-link fence construction.
The 6 5/8″ Tension Band is perfect for attaching chain link fabric to posts, frames, kennels, and more for a lasting connection. As a guideline, one less tension band than the overall height of the fence is used (for example, a 6′ high fence requires 5 tension bands). This tension band features a long-lasting, corrosion-resistant galvanized steel construction with a standard 14 gauge for residential applications. The band height is 3/4″, fitting 6 5/8″ fences and requiring 5/16″ x 2″ carriage bolts and nuts for installation.
