Tension Bands are essential components in chain-link fences, used to attach the fabric to the terminal posts. Unlike the beveled version, these bands have a flat surface, providing a secure connection and adding strength to the fence. Manufactured from durable materials like galvanized steel, Tension Bands resist rust and weathering, ensuring long-lasting performance. They come in different sizes and are easy to install, making them a staple in chain-link fence construction.
The 8 5/8″ Tension Band provides a secure connection between chain link fabric, tension bars, posts, and frames. An ideal choice for residential applications, this tension band features a galvanized steel construction with a 0.078″ thickness (14 gauge) for added resistance to corrosion. This easy to install component requires 5/16″ x 2″ carriage bolts and nuts and fits 8 5/8″ fence posts. For optimal longevity, one less tension band than the overall height of the fence should be used (i.e. a 6′ high fence uses 5 tension bands). Please note that due to manufacturing differences, the product you receive may not match the picture.
